I’m happy to share that my track “Ominous Dream” (a.k.a. “Spooky, quiet, scary atmosphere piano songs” on TikTok) was recently featured in the Netflix documentary UNTOLD: RAYGUN.

The documentary itself was really interesting.  To be honest, I felt terrible for Raygun when I saw what she had to go through, so learning more about her journey to the Olympics and everything that happened afterward was fascinating.

When I finally watched the documentary, I had to laugh. “Ominous Dream” starts playing just as the narration introduces the conspiracy theories surrounding Raygun.  Considering the strange little life this track has had on TikTok, somehow that felt very appropriate.

I originally released “Ominous Dream” back in 2017.  It started simply…  I’d just bought a creepy-sounding piano library and was exploring its sounds when I was inspired to write the piece.

I certainly didn’t expect that, years later, it would take on a life of its own on TikTok, where it has been used in millions of videos as background music for conspiracy theories, creepy stories, and all sorts of strange corners of the internet.  And I definitely didn’t expect that, nearly nine years later, I’d be signing licenses for the track to appear in a Netflix documentary.

Apparently, music can have a life of its own. At this point, I’m starting to think my music might live longer than I will, which is actually kinda cool!
